E-Fix Power Drive Standing Dani®

DavisMade, Inc. offers a power driven wheelstand for children with severe physical limitations that prohibit them from having independent mobility while standing. Children with limited strength such as Muscular Dystrophy or children with abnormal muscle tone such as Cerebral Palsy still deserve the opportunity to initiate movement for peer interactions to take place in the upright position. We utilize the E-Fix® add-on power system, available from the Alber Company. Children with limited dexterity can easily control the power driven wheelstand via a joystick controller. Tray mounted switches or switches that are placed in the head rest padding are available for severely involved children that lack dexterity of the arms. In addition, a number of other switches, including most ASL® products, are also compatible with the power drive system. Also available upon request is a remote kill switch to be utilized by the care

givers for safety purposes.

The prone board on the Standing Dani® dynamic power wheelstand is push-button adjustable and detachable from the base frame as are the E-Fix® power wheels. Frog Legs® suspension forks on the front casters are included to absorb the increased jarring that occurs due to the added weight and substantial torque associated with power driven mobility devices.

It is important to note the cost effectiveness of the Standing Dani® dynamic wheelstand. The 24 inch model can stand children from 38 to 58 inches tall, and the 12 inch model can stand children from 24 to 52 inches tall. There is no need to replace the wheelstand during this growth. By replacing just a few components such as larger pads or longer tubes, the growth can be accomodated thru the ranges specified above. The Standing Dani® dynamic wheelstand comes with a three-year warranty and the E-fix® power add-on comes with a two-year manufacturer’s warranty. Both the 12 inch and 24 inch power units fully breakdown without the use of tools. The prone board is push button detachable, and the battery quickly removes from the baseframe. In addition, the power drive wheels with quick release axles, can also be easily removed from the baseframe. The complete breakdown of the power Standing Dani® can been seen in the picture below.
