The Standing Dani®  wheelstands are versatile mobile standers designed for children with special needs.  They allow children that are unable to ambulate without assistance to independently maneuver about while supported in the upright prone position as opposed to sitting.  A wide variety of interchangeable positioning components comfortably support children with mild to severe musculoskeletal irregularities.

All Standing Dani® wheelstands incorporate prone positioning with wheeled mobility.  Prone positioning is defined as a child that is supported upright and leaning slightly forward.  It is the position of choice for developing upper body strength and head control.  Wheeled mobility expands a child's environment, opening doors to a world of possibilities.  The Standing Dani opens a whole new world of possibilities for children who would otherwise spend most of their pediatric life confined to sitting in a wheelchair.

Standing Dani® wheelstands are built with components that can be removed and replaced as the child grows or postures change eliminating the need to purchase a new device.  Because the wheelstands are built with high grade materials, they can endure the rugged activities of an active lifestyle throughout the expected growth range of the child. Research has proven the therapeutic benefits of standing.  The alternative is a very real need for expensive medical intervention, associated with prolonged sitting.  Static, prolonged sitting increases conditions such as contractures, low bone density, urinary tract infections, bowel impaction, and scoliosis leading to medical interventions.
