The Standing Dani® is a self-propelled, mobile, prone wheelstand designed for young children and adolescents ranging in height from 38” to 67”. It is available with interchangeable 27”, 30”, or 35” drive wheels. The Standing Dani® wheelstand is comprised of two major components:

• A base frame upon which various sized wheels are attached.
• A prone standing frame on which a wide variety of positioning components are configured to address the very  specific needs of each individual user.   
 

The Standing Dani®, positions the child for optimal function. Standing the child just forward of the drive wheels axles, leaning slightly forward in the prone position assures proper hand position at the top of the drive wheels. This maximizes the child’s ability to propel the wheels through use of the upper shoulder and chest muscles, without excessive shoulder rotation. The drive wheels tilt inward at the top, bringing them close to the child's hips and within arm's reach. For safety, cambering the drive wheels greatly enhances the lateral stability of the wheelstand. The prone board on the Standing Dani® wheelstand is push-button adjustable and detachable from the base frame.  It is important to note the cost effectiveness of the Standing Dani® dynamic wheelstand. The  Standing Dani® model can stand children from 38 to 67 inches in height. There is no need to replace the wheelstand during this growth. By replacing just a few components such as larger pads, longer tubes, or bigger wheels (so that the child may continue to reach the wheels to self propel), the growth can be accomodated thru 67 inches tall. All of the Standing Dani® dynamic wheelstands completely breakdown without the use of tools.  The prone board is push button detachable and quickly seperates from the baseframe.  In addition, with quick release axles, the drive wheels, caster wheel assemblies , and anti-tippers can be easily removed from the baseframe.  The complete breakdown of the Standing Dani® dynamic wheelstand can been seen in the picture below.
