Euro-Pēds, the first and only hospital-based intensive therapy program in the world, was launched at North Oakland Medical Centers, a non-profit hospital, in October 1999. Part of the mission of North Oakland Medical Centers is to explore new, innovative programs and services to meet community needs. After extensive research into the intensive therapy techniques that were pioneered in Russia and at the Euromed Rehabilitation Center in Poland, a commitment was made to open a clinic. The hospital hired physical therapists that specialized in this unique therapy, and the program took off immediately. [www.europeds.org]

Due to the custom nature of our products we ask that customers complete an evaluation form. This evaluation form contains questions, and other information that helps us to determine the most suitable bike and accessories for each individual. This in turn allows us to provide a formal price quote, rather than an estimate.  [www.freedomconcepts.com]

Frog Legs were originally developed to reduce the vibration in the frame of the wheelchair. Many wheelers experience pain or discomfort due to vibrations and road obstacles. Frog Legs will minimize the vibration in the frame due to riding over cobblestones, cracks in the road and other environmental imperfections.  [www.froglegsinc.com]

photograph of the Up 'n Go

Up n' Go

With the Up n' Go the user has part of their weight actually lifted by the device (Partial Weight Bearing). The same lifting support also provides great stability for the user. Thus users who may lack either sufficient leg strength or stability to stand and walk can use the Up n' Go to move from a sitting position to a standing/ walking position and then move about while being continuously supported. This support is dynamic. That is it remains constant as the user shifts their body position, a key requirement for a normal gait. The user can also lean on the Up n' Go, but this is purely for convenience. The Up n' Go can be used hands free … an important feature for people who may have limited strength or coordination in their hands or arms. [www.easy-walking.com]
