Standing Dani® Wheelstands have been successfully funded by many private and state-funded insurance programs. When these are not available, non-profit and alternate funding sources are often utilized with good results.

From submitting claims, coordinating benefits, or assisting with alternate or non-profit funding, each customer receives the very best of care, as each child is special to us.

Funding through insurance:

You will need a prescription from your child’s specialty physician, and Letter of Medical Necessity; from your child’s physical therapist, or physician.

Submitting effective documentation with each claim is crucial to a successful outcome, as obtaining funding through your insurance sources can turn into a chore if your provider does not recognize the therapeutic benefits of the device.

Our dedicated customer support and billing staff will work closely with each family and their medical professionals by providing sample Letters of Medical Necessity [click here for a complete list of sample LOMN’s] and other required documentation.

What if my request is denied?

Appeal the decision. [click here for a generic Sample Appeal Letter]

Once you have determined that your policy allows for this type of coverage, follow the appeal steps given to you in the denial letter you will receive.

Many denials are based on …..”not medically necessary, or “unproven effectiveness in treating this diagnosis”. Providing additional information with your appeal letter is a proven approach to a successful overturn of the denial.

As there are numerous peer-reviewed medical literatures and studies [click here for a complete list of reference studies and articles] that address the medical benefits of standing technology; including these with your appeal letter will help the medical review board understand the necessity of this device for your child.
